LOF på FacebookJoin Maya Hagemann and Jessie Cat for 10 weeks of music and songs - and baby signs. You will have a lovely social time with your baby while learning lots a valuable signs - so that you can communicate with your baby BEFORE he/she can talk!
We sing, play instruments, use props and picture - and all LOVE to give Jessie Cat a kiss and a cuddle! This way, the classes become a relaxed, enjoyable way for you to learn and for your baby to have fun. We sing traditional nursery rhymes as well as songs written especially for the course. This way, we make sure that every sign used in song relates to those important first words of a baby's world! Nappies and bath time, hiding games and bedtime. You name it, we have a song about it, and the babies just love to hear them!
Using signs with your baby is a wonderful way to focus on eye contact, on connecting with your baby, and on being present and tune in to your baby's cues and signals. Once your baby can sign back, it will mean so much for her/him to be understood - and you will experience less frustration as your baby will be able to tell you what he/she needs.
Signing is also a great tool for multilingual families. The signs become the bridge between the different languages as it clearly shows baby that different words can have the same meaning.
Sing and Sign is Britain's most loved and award winning baby signing programme and has been going strong for 18 years in UK.
This class is for babies 6-12 months and taught in English.

About me:
My name is Maya Hagemann, and I have been running Sing and Sign classes in Copenhagen since 2017. Sing and Sign was my first introduction to baby signing when I joined a class in Bath, England, with my 9-month old son back in 2011. Little did I know what an amazing journey we were about to embark on! We loved the classes, the music and the songs, but it wasn’t until my son signed back to me at 11 months that I realised the value of what we’d been learning. The look of pure joy on his face the first time he truly communicated something to us was unforgettable! Because he could “talk” to us with his signs, we were given a unique insight into his growing understanding of the world around him, and by the time his spoken language took form we felt that we had already had meaningful 'conversations' with him for more than a year. Naturally, we signed with our second child as well and enjoyed it just as much.
